Lorenzo in control on day one
Jorge Lorenzo continued to hold away at the top during the second MotoGP free practice session at Motorland Aragon, increasing his advantage at the head of the times to assert his authority in Spain. The Movistar Yamaha rider lapped in 1m 47.517s to end the opening day in control, a huge 0.683 seconds ahead of team-mate and MotoGP World Championship leader Valentino Rossi, who enjoyed a short-lived spell at the helm of FP2 until Lorenzo also switched to the medium rear and blitzed the Italian's time by almost seven tenths.
