Moto2: Rabat: Positive start, then sat in the pits

Moto2 world champion Esteve Rabat was 'fast and consistent' on the opening day of official 2015 testing at Valencia, but spent the next two days sat in the pits. Intermittent rain and an oil spill was the reason for the inactivity, but the Estrella Galicia Marc VDS star took comfort from his day one pace: Rabat was third quickest, 0.391s from fellow Kalex rider Johann Zarco, despite three small falls. “The first day was very positive for me, despite the cold conditions, because I was so fast and consistent from the start and, on the hard tyre, I was able to match the pole time from last year in only the second session,” he said. “The second day was half dry, half wet and very cold,...
