Márquez tops opening Barcelona session

– Reigning World Champion Marc Márquez led a Honda 1-2 during the opening practice session for this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.Márquez, who fell 49 points behind Valentino Rossi after crashing out of the Italian Grand Prix, clocked a time of 1:41.808 to beat team-mate Dani Pedrosa by 0.210s at the Spanish circuit.Suzuki rider Aleix Espargaró topped the times for much of the session but slipped to third after late improvements by the Honda pair, while Maverick Viñales ensured it was a positive session for the manufacturer after placing fifth.They were split by Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo, who is searching for his fourth straight victory this...
