Moto2 Mugello: Lowes recovers from crash to snatch pole

Sam Lowes secured pole for the second time this season after a crash with just under half an hour remaining forced the British rider to wait to make a late dash, topping the timesheets with a new record time of 1m 51.514, making him the first rider this year to take pole position twice. Ahead of Speed Up's home Grand Prix Lowes secured the top spot for the second time in his career with six minutes remaining after a well timed run gave him the space needed to set his incredible circuit of the track just 0.123 shy of Macro Melandri's MotoGP qualifying lap.
