Nicky Hayden's father Earl Hayden dies at the age of 74

Earl Hayden, father of 2006 MotoGP world champion Nicky Hayden as well as fellow racers Tommy and Roger, has died at the age of 74 after a long battle with cancer. Emphasising a hard work, no excuses and play fair racing ethic in his sons from a young age, Earl rotated between race tracks around the world in support of his children, being by Nicky's side as he progressed from dirt track, to AMA road racing and MotoGP, famously riding on the back of Nicky's bike after his debut grand prix victory at Laguna Seca 2005. 70894.jpg Nicky, who switched to World Superbike in 2016 and joined a rare group of riders to win in both 500cc/MotoGP and WSBK, was tragically killed in a cycling accident...
