Marquez Leads Closely Fought Second Day at Sepang

Marc Marquez had mixed fortunes on day two of the second MotoGP pre-season test at Sepang, setting the fastest time of the week only to crash late in the afternoon. The world champion had little to show for his day one efforts but looked much more like his old self on Tuesday, setting a 1:59.844 to edge out Jorge Lorenzo and the two new Ducatis. After topping the Monday timesheets, Yamaha made a bright start to daw two with Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo lapping in the mid-2:00s range. Shortly before lunchtime though, Marquez became the first rider to break the two minute barrier with Lorenzo all-but matching him to leapfrog his teammate.
