Lorenzo pleased with pace, still seeking improvements

Jerez winner Jorge Lorenzo wasn't completely satisfied with the first day of MotoGP practice at Le Mans, despite looking to have the best race pace. The Majorcan ended the day second overall after dipping under Marc Marquez's year-old lap record in the afternoon. Lorenzo was only headed by Tech 3 Yamaha's Bradley Smith, who went faster by two tenths of a second. But in terms of race pace, Movistar Yamaha's Lorenzo and Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso appear to hold an early advantage as they reeled off laps in the 1m 33s.
