Valentino Rossi: Jerez one of the circuits I look forward to the most
Round four of the 2021 MotoGP championship takes place at the Circuito de Jerez this weekend, and for nine-time World Champion Valentino Rossi, it remains the scene of his last podium. Rossi clinched his 199th Grand Prix podium at the Andalucian race in 2020 as he goes in search of an elusive 200th rostrum finish. It’s been a tough start to the season for Rossi following a crash last time out at Portimao, which leaves the Italian 19th in the championship standings. But speaking ahead of this weekend, Rossi is excited about the prospect of racing at Jerez, which he says is ‘one of the circuits I most look forward to’.
