Alpine finally confirmed on Sunday ex-Suzuki MotoGP boss Davide Brivio's appointment to its Formula 1 team as racing director. News of Brivio's departure from Suzuki - as first reported by Autosport - sent shockwaves around the MotoGP paddock, not least as it comes just months after he helped guide Suzuki to the 2020 world championship.
