Smith: I'm closer to the front than before

Britain's Bradley Smith was satisfied with his day's work as the second Sepang test commenced on Monday, with the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider finishing eighth fastest overall. Smith slotted in behind CMW LCR Honda's Cal Crutchlow on the leaderboard with a best lap of 2m 01.241s, which was 0.827s off the benchmark lap recorded by Movistar Yamaha's Valentino Rossi.
