Marquez breaks finger in dirt bike crash

Marc Marquez's participation in Spain is up in the air. Repsol Honda rider and reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez has suffered a broken pinky finger on his left hand while riding his dirt bike. Teammate Dani Pedrosa was sidelined earlier in the year due to a forearm injury. It is unknown whether or not he will be able to take part in his home GP next weekend, the fourth round of the season.. Marquez is currently fifth in the championship standings but still considered the title favorite next to Yamaha's Valentino Rossi. A titanium plate has been fixed to the broken figure and the Spaniard has since undergone successful surgery.
