Marc Marquez tops day two of Jerez MotoGP test, Maverick Vinales quickest overall

Honda's Marc Marquez topped the second day of the two-day Jerez post-season MotoGP test, despite a shoulder injury that the Spaniard will have surgery on later this week. Marquez's time of 1:37.820 put him just 0.017s ahead of Suzuki's Alex Rins and just over a tenth ahead of Joan Mir. In fourth was day one's quickest man, Maverick Vinales. The Yamaha rider topped the overall classification with a best time of 1:37.131, which puts him well clear of Marquez's time – which was good enough for second overall – by almost seven-tenths.
