Honda's Jorge Lorenzo says he is 'closer than ever' to the front at Jerez

Jorge Lorenzo believes he is “closer probably more than ever” to front in MotoGP on his Honda, after qualifying just 0.616s from pole in 11th  in Spanish Grand Prix qualifying. Lorenzo advanced directly into Q2 from FP3 and equalled his best Saturday result of the season of 11th during Jerez qualifying, after positing a lap of 1:37.496s. However, a crash at Turn 2 with just under four minutes remaining stopped him from mounting a challenge for the top 10 on the grid, and admits starting from the fourth row is “not very comfortable”.
