Jerez WorldSBK test: Lowes ready to confirm pace in Portugal
Pata Yamaha's Alex Lowes slotted into second place in the overall WorldSBK test rankings at Jerez de la Frontera, setting more laps than any of the other top competitors and proving to be a model of consistency. He finished strong and although he used a qualifier to go second, ahead of Haslam who did not, Lowes was content. “The final day was a good day,” said Lowes. “Obviously my best lap time was with a qualifying tyre, but I also did a 1’39.8 with a race tyre. So, not that much different. 'I did not try any of the new tyres that they brought for maybe six or ten laps, but I think a lot of the other guys did. I think my pace was quite strong.” Looking forward to the next tests...
