An early lap from Luca Marini earned the Italian his first ever Moto2 pole position in Brno. With exceedingly high track temperatures the younger half brother of Valentino Rossi got his lap in early as track temperatures continued to rise and got his fastest time of the session, a 2:02.244. With track temperatures not cooling, nobody bettered the 20-year-old’s time giving him his first pole of his career. Alex Marquez will start from the middle of the front row on his Marc VDS Kalex, with Mattia Pasini rounding out the front row.
