Monster Energy to become Yamaha title sponsor in 2019
The Yamaha MotoGP team has announced a multi-year title sponsorship agreement with energy drinks company Monster Energy beginning in 2019. Yamaha has run with title sponsor Movistar since the 2014 season, but this deal with the Spanish television company ends at the conclusion of this year, with Movistar's current rights agreement with Dorna to broadcast MotoGP also expiring in 2018. Monster is currently Yamaha's satellite outfit Tech3's title sponsor, though the French team will ditch it in favour of Red Bull next year as part of its tie-up with Austrian manufacturer KTM.
