Andrea Dovizioso continued the Ducati domination at the Circuit de Catalunya as he topped the timing sheets, however World Championship leader Marc Marquez crashed out of the session forcing him to go through Q1. The Italian’s best time of a 1.38.923 was 0.007 seconds faster than his team-mates fastest time from yesterday. Second fastest Jorge Lorenzo was one of three riders who failed to improve on his time from yesterday. Despite the Spaniard failing to improve on his Friday time, a Ducati 1-2 through free practice is an ominous sign after their Mugello success.
