Bagnaia cruises to Le Mans Moto2 win ahead of Marquez
Francesco Bagnaia cruised to his third win of the 2018 Moto2 season to extend his championship lead at Le Mans, with Alex Marquez a distant second. Bagnaia was given an easy run into the first corner after Lorenzo Baldassarri made a poor launch, while second-place qualifier Xavi Vierge was forced to start from the back after suffering a technical issue prior to pitlane closing. Marquez managed to jump from sixth on the grid to second on the run into the Dunlop chicane, and stalked Bagnaia for most of the 25-lap race, the pair setting near-identical times lap after lap as Bagnaia's advantage remained at a consistent seven tenths.
