Dani Pedrosa headed Honda stablemate Cal Crutchlow in the opening MotoGP practice for the second round of the 2018 season in Argentina. Pedrosa's teammate Marc Marquez was the early pacesetter in the opening 45-minute session, the four-time Argentina pole winner going top with a 1:42.280s, before improving to a 1:41.778s despite a moment on the front end at Turn 13.
