Aprilia delays new MotoGP engine to Qatar race

Aprilia has been forced to delay introducing its latest specification of MotoGP engine until the opening round of the season in Qatar. The Italian manufacturer was scheduled to bring its latest unit to the last pre-season test at the Losail track, but a change of plan has delayed the new motor's introduction to the season opener at the same venue on 18 March. “We didn’t know if we could have it for the last test, and the test bench programme couldn’t be tighter,” an Aprilia source told Motorsport.com.
