Barberá to step down to Moto2 with Pons
– Héctor Barberá will step back down to Moto2 in 2018, after signing a deal with Pons, bringing to a close an eight-season spell in MotoGP.Barberá graduated to MotoGP in 2010, after finishing as runner-up (while at Pons) in the 250cc class, now Moto2, and has raced for Avintia since 2013.He also contested two races with the factory Ducati team in late-2016, replacing the injured Andrea Iannone, contributing to a personal best classification of 10th overall.However, the 2017 season has been more of a challenge and, while sitting only 20th in the standings, he has secured a return to Moto2 with Pons."After eight years in MotoGP the goals have not been achieved, as it is a...
