Yamaha’s Maverick Viñales clocked the quickest time of the opening three-day test during the final day of running at Sepang. Viñales posted a lap of 1:59.368 early in the afternoon as teams enjoyed dry running on Wednesday, with the opening two days partly affected by inclement weather conditions. Viñales, wound up 0.138s clear of reigning world champion Marc Márquez, who made gains after electrical problems affected Repsol Honda earlier in the test.
