Casey Stoner tops opening day of Sepang MotoGP test
Casey Stoner headed up a Ducati 1-2 on the first day of MotoGP pre-season testing at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia as three-time world champion Jorge Lorenzo struggled. Stoner, 31, retired from racing in MotoGP at the end of 2012 before taking up a test and development role with Ducati last year, and featured on the opening day of testing at Sepang alongside full-time factory riders Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso. Stoner turned in a fastest lap of 1:59.681 on Monday to lead the timesheets ahead of Dovizioso, who finished 0.115 seconds adrift on the Desmosedici GP17 bike.
