Rossi regards Viñales as 2017 title threat
– Valentino Rossi believes that new Yamaha team-mate Maverick Viñales has the ability to fight for the MotoGP championship from the outset, as the manufacturer unveiled its 2017 bike on Thursday.Rossi, runner-up in the title race across the past three years, has been joined at Yamaha by Viñales, the Spaniard having replaced Ducati-bound Jorge Lorenzo.Viñales, the 2013 Moto3 champion, placed third overall in his sole Moto2 campaign before graduating to MotoGP with Suzuki in 2015.Viñales emerged as a front-runner as Suzuki improved in 2016, taking his maiden premier class win at the British Grand Prix, finishing the season fourth in the standings.Viñales set the quickest time...
