MotoGP round 'very important' for Silverstone

– Holding a round of the MotoGP championship is "very important" for Silverstone, according to BRDC President Derek Warwick, who hopes that the proposed Circuit of Wales does not get built.Silverstone has been the home of the British Motorcycle Grand Prix since 2010, when it took over from Donington Park, but the Circuit of Wales signed a five-year deal from 2015-19.However, construction at the potential new venue has not yet begun, with the complex not set to open until 2019 at the earliest.Silverstone has remained as the host of the British Grand Prix throughout the period, and the 2017 event will take place at the circuit in August."For me, MotoGP is very...
