MotoGP confirms tweaked Barcelona layout

– MotoGP organisers have confirmed layout modifications at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for next year's event, following the death of Moto2 rider Luis Salom.All three categories (MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3) switched to an interim track layout at June's Catalan Grand Prix after Salom suffered a fatal crash in Friday practice.It featured a sharper version of the Turn 10 hairpin, and bypassed the sweeping, high-speed Turn 12, where Salom crashed, in favour of a chicane – both used by Formula 1.For 2017, permanent layout changes are to be made; Turn 10 will remain the same, but a new chicane will be installed at the end of the lap, before the Formula 1 complex.Work on the layout...
