Stoner “sorry” that he won’t be replacing Pedrosa

Two-time MotoGP champion Casey Stoner has said it would have been an “honour” to replace Dani Pedrosa at Repsol Honda, but admitted that he won’t be doing so. Pedrosa underwent successful surgery to cure his chronic forearm trouble that plagued him in the season opener in Qatar. But rather than Stoner being called up, Pedrosa will instead likely be replaced by HRC test rider Hiroshi Aoyama. Stoner tweeted while on a trout-fishing holiday in Argentina: “Sorry to everyone but I am not racing @circuitamericas ‪next weekend, it would have been an honour to ride for @26_DaniPedrosa #NotMeantToBe” He later tweeted that he was flying back to Australia, rather than heading to North...
