Márquez ends year with victory in Valencia

– MotoGP World Champion Marc Márquez claimed his 13th victory of the year in the final round of 2014 at the Valencian Grand Prix.Márquez took the lead from Andrea Iannone a third of the way into the 30-lap contest and was unchallenged thereafter, eventually finishing 3.5 seconds ahead of Valentino Rossi, who secured second in the standings, and Dani Pedrosa.In clinching victory at Valencia, Márquez beat Mick Doohan's record of number of wins in a single season.Andrea Iannone bolted away from his front-row grid slot to pass pole man Rossi before Turn 1, while Márquez rose from fifth to third at the first corner.Light rain began to fall and Iannone stretched his lead to almost two...
