Laverty fractures arm in testing crash
Eugene Laverty suffered a fracture in his left arm following a crash today during testing at Jerez. Entering turn seven, a fast left hander, Laverty lost the front end of his Aspar Ducati and crashed. Having been able to walk to a stretcher Laverty was taken to the circuit medical centre where the doctors diagnosed the fracture. The Irishman was then taken to a hospital in Jerez for an xray to confirm the injury. The crash happened in the closing hour of the session Turn seven is a fast left hander that sees riders apply a touch of brakes to scrub off some speed before pealing in to the corner.
