Hayden to race despite broken thumb
Nicky Hayden revealed that he broke his right thumb during last week's training in Italy. The American was training for the upcoming Aragon race on minitotos when he took a tumble. However, following physiotherapy, the 2006 world champion remains confident that he will still be able to compete in Spain on the weekend. "I have seen the doctors and had the scans and I am optimistic I'll still be able to race but we will have to see on Friday how I feel," quipped the 34-year-old on motorsport.com.
