Viñales bags second straight Misano pole as Bagnaia falls foul of track limits

After a strong start in Free Practice, Pramac Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia lost pole position to the Yamaha of Maverick Viñales after the his Ducati ran onto the green track limits at the final bend. The Italian held the P1 accolade for the majority of the second qualifying session, having only lost it a few times to Vinales, who looked as though he would take pole as the clock ran out. But with just seconds to go, Bagnaia threw everything at it to beat the Spaniard only to have his lap cancelled by the race stewards, allowing Viñales to snatch pole with Bagnaia starting from 4th on the grid.
