Short circuit suspected cause of devastating MotoE fire

A short circuit is believed to be the cause of Thursday morning's huge fire which engulfed the MotoE paddock structure situated at the Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto. The paddock had been set-up for the first pre-season test of the new all-electric motorbike series. All 18 Energica Ego motorbikes were destroyed in the devastating blaze, though luckily nobody was injured as it happened during the early hours of the morning. Although still waiting on an official reason, early indications point towards a short circuit which led to the ignition of the high-density battery charger.
