Moto3: Binder takes win in red-flagged Australian scrap
Brad Binder has taken victory in a frantic and chaotic red-flagged Moto3 race at Phillip Island, leading from start to finish in the second half of the race to win by six seconds from Andrea Locatelli after many of his title rivals fell in the first half. It was a frantic early battle for the lead, with Binder locked in a battle with Nicolo Bulega, Andrea Migno, John McPhee, Francesco Bagnaia, Aron Canet, Jorge Navarro and Joan Mir among others, with Fabio Quartarato even making it through to second from last after a qualifying penalty.
